Lions sign RB Pinner

ALLEN PARK, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Detroit Lions on Thursday
signed free agent running back Artose Pinner, who spent last
season with the Atlanta Falcons, to a one-year contract.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 5-10, 230-pound Pinner played in seven games for the Falcons
last year, carrying five times for 46 yards.
Originally taken by Detroit in the fourth round of the 2003
draft, Pinner has rushed for 858 yards and eight touchdowns in
47 career contests.
After three seasons in Detroit, Pinner spent the 2006 campaign
in Minnesota. That season, he had 43 carries for 190 yards and
three TDs in 12 games.
