RB Dominic Rhodes rejoins Colts

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Indianapolis Colts reportedly will
have a familiar face in their backfield next season.

According to a report Wednesday on the Indianapolis Star's web
site, the Colts signed running back Dominic Rhodes to a one-year
contract worth approximately $650,000.

Rhodes was released by the Oakland Raiders last week after the
team selected Darren McFadden with the fourth overall pick of
the draft.

Rhodes, 29, played a key role in the Colts' drive to win Super
Bowl XLI after the 2006 season. He worked in tandem with
then-rookie Joseph Addai, starting all 16 regular-season games
and then coming off the bench in the four postseason games.

In the 29-17 win over the Chicago Bears in the Super Bowl,
Rhodes rushed 21 times for 113 yards and one touchdown.

Rhodes left the Colts as a free agent after the 2006 season and
signed with the Raiders. He missed the first four games of the
season for violating the league's substance abuse policy,
playing in just 10 games and rushing 75 times for 302 yards and
one touchdown.

Over his seven seasons in the NFL, Rhodes has 2,576 rushing
yards with 20 touchdowns along with 101 receptions for 719 yards
and a score.
