Texans GM Smith gets extension

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Houston Texans general manager Rick Smith
signed a four-year contract extension Tuesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal that runs
through the 2012 season.
Smith has helped turn around a Texans franchise that went just
2-14 in 2006. Houston went 8-8 last season, setting a franchise
record for wins in a single campaign.
