NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Tennessee Titans guard Benji
Olson announced his retirement Thursday, ending his 10-year
career.
Olson, 32, appeared in 13 games - all starts - with the Titans
last season. The Bremerton, Washington native spent his entire
career with Tennessee, playing in 152 games.
"He was such a consistent player for us for so long, a player
that gave great effort and helped us achieve many great things
in his time here," Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said. "It is
rare in this time to see a player spend his entire career with
one team, and Benji was one of the few."
The 320-pound Olson was a reliable cog on the Titans' offensive
line, playing in at least 15 games every year from 1999-2006.
He had a stretch of 85 consecutive starts from 1999-2004.
