Derwin's Feminine Hygiene Product of the Week - Week 3

Jim Derwin  |Sep 24,2007

This week is a tough one. I was sitting down getting ready to write this week's edition of (Feminine Hygiene Product) of the Week just before halftime of the Dallas/Chicago game and going over the past week's (Feminine Hygiene Product) worthy nominees. There were so many people to choose from, I almost had to leave it up to picking a name out of a hat. Then it hit me. With all these teams wearing throwback uniforms this week, most of them looked kinda cool. The one glaring exception being the Philadelphia Eagles. So I started writing this column bashing the idiot that said these uniforms would look great and let's wear them to inspire our team to win this week. What a (Feminine Hygiene Product) that guy is!

So I'm a few sentences deep when the NBC Sunday Night Football Halftime Show starts. One of their "analysts" is Keith Olberman. This guy is not even a football journalist.  He normally hosts a news show on MSNBC. However someone in NBC thought it would be a good move to give this guy 60 seconds, rather than listen to two guys who know what they are talking about in Bob Costas and Chris Collinsworth. What's his weekly feature? A little segment called, "The Worst Person in the NFL." If that is not a complete rip off of "Derwin's (Feminine Hygiene Product) of the Week," I don't know what is. I stop typing to hear what he has to say.  Who is his "Worst Person"? The same as mine! The guy who decided to clothe the Eagles on Sunday.  Unbelieveable. How could my Sunday go any worse now? My fantasy team got stomped because I didn't start Philip Rivers, my Redskins completely fell apart at home in the 2nd half to lose to the hapless NY Giants, now this hosebag is not only stealing my bit, but he's stealing who my bit is about? Guess what Olberwoman, this is where I get even.

This week's (Feminine Hygiene Product) of the Week goes to Keith Olberman!  Because you ripped my weekly bit, and because you ranted about what I was so eloquently ranting about, you sir are a well, you know.

PS - Who deserves more criticism?  Rex Grossman or the Chicago crowd chanting, "Griese, Griese!"  I've never been a Rex fan, but I actually did feel bad for him in that moment.
