Destined for Failure

Destined for Failure

Ah, sookie sookie...

I've been aching to write some celebrity dirt all season long...and finally, when Dallas needed a win like no other, Jessica Simpson showed up to the game, confused that the 65,000-plus weren't there to see how cute she looked. She showed, Tony Romo sucked and now the Cowboy cancer, also known as Terrell Owens, is beginning to metastasize. And all it took was an over-rated singer/actress wearing Romo's #9.

Tony, bro...seriously, Simpson over Underwood? Why would you have your girl come to the game when she clearly doesn't know anything about it? It's not like you going to one of her concerts in which there's a bunch of bad music - something we all know a little bit about. The only person happy about her attending the game was her creepy Dad/Manager, who would happily see you lose and take a pounding for more Simpson face time.

Sure, this is old hat by Thursday, but looking forward, this makes the Dallas row a little tougher to hoe. Fortunately for Cowboys fans, Tony Romo seems to have a combination alligator skin. He shook off last year's playoff "mishap snap," and he's dealt with playing alongside the loudest mouth/worst hands in the NFL for two seasons without dealing a low-blow. It's safe to say that Romo should bounce back, but we all wanna know...how will that thumb affect his play?

As the washing machine begins to agitate in Dallas, one might guess that T.O. would have been thrilled with Romo's effort on Sunday...number 9 looking for number 81 more than too often. Still, we've all been fans of the NFL long enough to know that Terrell will never stop dropping his jack-asinine statements 24/7. The only thing that's open more consistently than his mouth is the Internet. Like so many years before, we won't have to wait long to see if the 2007 version of T.O. will once again spread like the team cancer that he is, while Dallas battles for home field advantage during the playoffs.

The Cowboys will have more of a test than they expect this weekend at Carolina, and the following week at Washington will be a brawl with potential playoff implications for both squads. The last thing Dallas would ever want to do is travel to Green Bay in mid-January for a rematch of the regular season matchup, but as long as T.O. keeps talkin', the better things look for all remaining teams in the NFC.
