He isn’t the biggest, he isn’t the fastest and he isn’t the best overall. While that may be true Malcolm Kelly looks like he could be the first wide receiver off the board because his all around game looks to be the most complete of any wide receiver available. *Malcolm Kelly Wide Receiver Oklahoma* Junior 6-4 225 *Strengths:* Size *Weaknesses:* Elusiveness after the catch. *Statline:* 111 catches and 1,1814 yard and 19 touchdowns during his last two seasons at Oklahoma. *Technique:* Precise route runner who seems to be at his best while in traffic. Has the physical ability to beat the double team or muscle through defenders at the line. *Known Injuries:* Has had some hamstring an ankle problems during his career at Okalhoma but nothing serious to report. *Combine / Workout Assessment*: Ran a 4.50 at the combine while skipping many of the other workouts and opting to wait until the Oklahoma Pro Day. *DJ Boyer's Analysis:* Malcolm Kelly looks like a safe pick to be the top receiver taken in this draft and is looking more and more like he will be selected in the top 15 overall. Has shown steady improvement at Oklahoma and shows the proper fundamentals when catching the football. Uses his hands and keeps the ball away from his body while shielding himself away from defenders in an effort to limit interceptions or big hits from defenders. Makes moves back towards the football and shows quick acceleration after the play. While he uses his size to his advantage it would be nice to see Kelly not go down as easily as he does in the middle of the football field. I think Kelly needs to work on his lower body strength in an effort to try and break more tackles at the next level. Shows the ability to be a future leader, coaches and players rave about his demeanor and his leadership skills. Shown tremendous improvement making his routes more crisp over the last two seasons at Oklahoma and has become a very precise route runner.
