Ryan Clady is the best underclassmen available at the offensive tackle position and some teams feel maybe even the best tackle overall in this draft. Clady looks like a top ten pick and he has shown the ability to dominate at the NCAA level. *Ryan Clady, Offensive Tackle, Boise State* Junior, 6-5, 325 *Strengths:* Open field run blocking *Weaknesses:* Use of hands *Technique:* The best tackle in the open field available in this draft. Takes the proper angles in space and is very quick to get outside and seal the corner for the running back. *Known Injuries:* No injury problems for Clady at Boise State. *Combine / Workout Assessment:* Coming Soon. *DJ Boyer's Analysis:* Ryan Clady was seen as a borderline prospect when it came to declaring for the draft or not when the NCAA season kicked off. Now Clady is borderline again, this time as to whether or not he is the best tackle available in the entire field. While Clady is an elite prospect there are plenty areas of his game that could use improvement with the most noticeable being the use of his hands. Clady needs to try and utilize his hands with speed rushers and trying to jab them or knock them off balance. While he is a big prospect he doesn’t have above average wingspan, needs to be more consistent with his arm extension in pass protection situations. Clady is the best in the open field, will seal the corner for the running back consistently and can get downfield and level linebackers beyond the line. Clady has even been used as a fullback in short yardage situations at times at Boise State. Has the speed and explosion to get off the line cleanly and will get his hands on defenders first, this is why if he improves his hands placement he can be an even more dominant force. Teams near the top of the board that will likely show the most interest in Clady include the St. Louis Rams and the New York Jets.
