Bills sign defensive tackle Williams to extension

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to a multi-year contract extension with defensive tackle Kyle Williams.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the NFL Network reported it was worth $14.5 million over three years.

A fifth-round pick out of Louisiana State in 2006, the 6-1, 306-pound Williams had played nose tackle for his first two seasons, appearing in all 32 games. He has registered 94 tackles and two sacks - both last season.

However, the Bills are expected to employ a more traditional 4-3 defense this season, and Williams will be vying for playing time alongside offseason trade acquisition Marcus Stroud.
