Browns Upset Ravens The Baltimore Ravens have a lot of questions to answer for a team that was supposed to be 4-0 at this point and run away with the AFC North. The Cleveland Browns took advantage of the Ravens' poor play and mistakes by going up 14-0 in the 1st quarter. Right after Leigh Bodden intercepted a Steve McNair pass, Braylon Edwards caught a 78 yard TD pass from Derek Anderson. The other Browns score came in the form of sweet revenge from former Raven Jamal Lewis. Lewis converted on a one yard dive which the Ravens disputed, but the referees upheld nonetheless.
Although Steve McNair passed for 309 yards, one TD and one pick, it's obvious he can't consistently move the offense like he used to. The Ravens are also 0-2 when McNair takes the majority of snaps. Kyle Boller is 2-0 this season. Is it time for Brian Billick to say a healthy Kyle Boller gives us a better chance to win than a partially injured Steve McNair. Even though he never made it into the endzone, Wilis McGahee showed he is still an improvement over Jamal Lewis by rushing for 104 yards on 14 attempts, a 7.4 yard average compared to Lewis' 2.8 yard average. If the Ravens can take any good news away from this game, it's that. Now that the Ravens sit at 2-2, they can potentially be 2 games out of first place if the Steelers beat the Cardinals this afternoon. The AFC North is proving to be more than a two headed snake this season, as the Browns are emerging as a wild card contender. If this division keeps up its parity, the Ravens are not out of anything yet.
