Cardinals' Arrington arrested

Arizona Cardinals running back J.J. Arrington was arrested early Wednesday due to his involvement in a nightclub fight, News 14 Carolina reported.

Arrington, 25, was one of five people arrested after an off-duty officer called for assistance when the fight broke out around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the D&I Center nightclub, the report stated.

A former star player at nearby Northern Nash High School, Arrington was arrested for disorderly conduct.

According to the report, Arrington was also held for 24 hours on a magistrate’s order for contempt of court.

In 16 games in his third season with the Cardinals, Arrington rushed 26 times for 78 yards and caught 29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown.
