Dolphins Make Changes

One day after naming Jeff Ireland as their new general manager, the Miami Dolphins released Head Coach Cam Cameron and all but two members of his coaching staff. The only two coaches who were spared the axe were assistant special teams coach Steve Hoffman and linebackers coach George Edwards.

Ireland joins the Dolphins after working the last seven years with the Dallas Cowboys, the past three as the team's Vice President of College and Pro Scouting. In Dallas, Ireland worked with new Executive Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells

Cameron lasted only one season with the Dolphins after coming over from the San Diego Chargers where he spent five seasons as offensive coordinator.
