Jonathan Ogden Set to Start Season Opener

The Baltimore Ravens announced that 10 time Pro Bowler, Jonathan Ogden, passed his physical exam and is cleared to start in the season opener against the Cincinatti Bengals on September 10th.  Ogden has not played since the playoff loss to the Colts last season.  He required painkillers to get through that game and even aggrevated his turf toe injury even more.  Ogden contemplated retiring but decided to come back for at least one more year.

For as long as Baltimore has known the Ravens, they've known Jonathan Ogden. He was the first player the Ravens drafted in 1996 and quickly solidified himself as a star offensive tackle.  When Ogden does retire, whoever takes over his spot on the left side will have some big shoes to fill.  Literally.
