Seahawks Drop Hammer on the Vikings

The Vikings offense once again looked one-dimensional as the running game seemed to be the only way the Vikes could move the chains. Chester Taylor rushed 8 times for a respectable 61 yards and rookie Adrian Peterson carried 10 times for 41 yards. Ball-hawking defense and a solid running attack helped the Vikings past the New York Jets last week, but the Seahawks are the class of the NFC. When you play a very well rounded team like Seattle, you better have a better game plan than, "run it down their throats." Seattle looked prepared and deep as they routed the Vikings 30-13. Rookie QB for the Vikings, Tavaris Jackson, was under pressure the whole time. Any Defensive Coordinator worth his salary can look at tape and see Jackson is at his worst when he's blitzed and hurried. Seattle came at him relentlessly, and to Jackson's credit, he fared pretty well. Not counting his fumble on the opening snap, he completed 9/18 passes for 117 yards and no interceptions. His backup, Brooks Bollinger, however did not perform as well which pretty much solidifies Jackson's status as the starting QB for the Vikings.
