Westbrook Stars for Eagles The points the Philadelphia Eagles rang up in their 16-9 road win over the New York Jets on Sunday fall far short of crystallizing the power and explosiveness of their diversified offense. Brian Westbrook's performance? Now that's a different story. Back from an abdominal strain that sidelined him for two games, the Pro Bowl back was back to his shakin'-n-bakin' ways at the Meadwolands. Westbrook ran 20 times for 120 yards, 53 of them coming over the game's last four minutes, when the Eagles finally ended all the suspense born of their come-from-behind win. On the day, Westbrook accounted for 156 of the Eagles' 413 yards, many of them helping to establish key field position leading to David Akers' three game-changing field goals. "Anytime you can close out the game kneeling the ball, that is exactly how you want to end it," Westbrook told the Philly Inquirer. "We didn't do exactly what we needed to do on offense. When you win, you win. It feels great." And now the Eagles (2-3) turn their attention to the Chicago Bears, and getting their season record back to the break even mark. Certainly, it seems safe to say as a healthy Brian Westbrook goes, so goes the Eagles' offense. "I felt as though I was good enough to play," Westbrook added. "I did OK. I had a couple spots where there was some pain, but for the most part everything worked out."
