What we've learned from Week One in the NFL

What have we all learned from the Week One action in the NFL? Some of it is obvious, some not. But read on the see what our take is.

-The demise of Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was greatly exaggerated. Granted, the Rams aren't world beaters, but McNabb proved his doubters wrong with his performance on Sunday.

-That maybe Chad Johnson should shut up, not worry about his name and concern himself more with his performance after catching only one pass against the Ravens.

-That even with Marc Bulger, Torry Holt and Steven Jackson, the Rams aren't very good.

-That the NFC South may not be as weak as everyone thought it would be this season. The Falcons have a real stud in Michael Turner, the Panthers can compete with the big boys as was shown by their win over the Chargers and the Saints have enough weapons to compete.

-That the Seahawks aren't as good as I thought they would be. Getting waxed by the Bills is pretty bad.

-That Brett Favre is going to be just fine in New York. Just ask the Dolphins.

-The Chiefs will be in big trouble if they don't find a real quarterback.

-That Willie Parker is still the man in Pittsburgh. Don't believe me, look at his stats from Sunday.

-That if the Browns don't find a defense, they will have to rely on outscoring all their opponents, something they couldn't come close to doing against the Cowboys.

-That the Colts were out of sync and as flat as a pancake on Sunday night and don't expect that to last for long.

-That maybe Michael Turner is as good as some folks thought he could be if given the chance.

-That we will all see how much of a genius Bill Belichick truly is now that he won't have Tom Brady at quarterback.

-That the Bengals, despite having a plethora of talent on offense, remain one of the most underachieving teams in the league.

-That the Arizona Cardinals may actually be the best team in the NFC West.

-That the Chicago Bears may have a running game this year with rookie Matt Forte, and without Cedric Benson.
