Eli Manning - Quarterback
Eli Manning - Quarterback Eli Manning became a target of criticism prior to the 2004 NFL Draft for declaring that he would not sign with San Diego if they drafted him with the first pick. Manning eventually went to the Giants via a trade with the Charges but this first look at young Eli had some fans and experts questioning his loyalty. Manning has had some great games and some questionable efforts but one thing remains constant, the kid as talents. Eli had a break-out second season, finishing in the top five in passing yards and touchdowns. Eli's second full season in 2006 however was not as uplifting as 2005. The young gun- slinger crumbled in the second half of the year and many are now questioning not his loyalty but his mechanics and consistency. Look for Eli to finally, step out from Peyton's shadow and to have a fine year leading the Giants offense.
