Gaines Adams - Defensive Lineman
Gaines Adams - Defensive Lineman Gaines Adams was the first defender taken in the 2007 NFL Draft. The former Clemson star earned first-team All-American honors in 2006. He was also named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Adams posted 12.5 sacks in his senior season. Adams has explosive quickness coming off the edge. He's a smart player who knows how to bat the ball down when he can't make a play on the quarterback. The Bucs thought so highly of Adams that they showed Simeon Rice the door in July 2007.
