Willie Parker - Running Back
Willie Parker - Running Back Willie Parker, Although he rode the bench his senior year at North Carolina, Parker quickly developed into a first-rate NFL back. 'Fast Willie' Parker started his Steeler days as an undrafted free agent. He was buried on the depth chart behind Jerome Bettis, Duce Staley and Verron Haynes. In the final game of the 2004 season, Parker rushed for 102 yards against the Bills (in only three quarters of duty). At the start of the 2005 season, injuries in the backfield pushed Parker to the top of the depth chart, and he responded by having a breakout season (1202 yards in 255 attempts). Parker locked down the starting job that year, and became a Super Bowl champion in the process.
