Mattéo Guendouzi’s hair has been in the news lately after Marouane Fellaini tugged the Arsenal midfielder’s flowing locks and hauled him to the ground.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery made light of the situation, simply claiming that the teenager should cut his hair to avoid a similar incident.
He said: “I think the best thing for the next match is to cut his hair for Mattéo and the problem is finish. Like Fellaini.”
Guendouzi might feel like taking the advice of his current boss and thankfully for the young Frenchman, he can look upon plenty of inspiration from down the years in the footballing world.
David Beckham was one of the great innovators when it came to shaping his hair.
The former MLS star donned several looks including a Mohawk, a buzz cut and the man bun during his distinguished career.
Alternatively, Guendouzi might want to look at recent trends from the likes of Sergio Aguero and James Rodríguez.
The pair have caught the eye this season after donning grey hair styles. Kopa Trophy winner Kylian Mbappe is the latest to jump on the trend so could Guendouzi follow suit?
Or perhaps compatriot Paul Pogba could serve as an inspiration to Guendouzi.
Pogba has been renowned for the variety of his hair styles from his spell at Juventus through to his time at Manchester United.
The midfielder certainly catches plenty of attention with his different trims; shaving his club number and an emoji into his hair.
But if all of those seem too time-consuming then the teenager could go for something a little more straight forward.
