Orlando Pirates winger Daine Klate says his side might be far behind with games but he believes they are right where they want to be regarding the points they have obtained so far.
The Buccaneers have only played eight matches due to their CAF Champions League commitments last year while other teams have already reached a 15 matches mark. Orlando Pirates have accumulated sixteen points from eight matches, and they won three matches on the trot before the mid-season break which took them to 11th on the log.
“It’s not normal for a club of Orlando Pirates calibre to be placed on the bottom half of the log but we are like seven games behind and we have 16 points already. This is where any team would want to archive in the league marathon and we still have a chance to go on 30 points after our 15 matches,” Said Daine Klate
“The players are ready to battle in our remaining catch up matches and I, myself is ready to play week in and week out just to make sure we catch the pacesetters at the summit. It won’t be easy to win all our seven games but we know what we want as a team,” added the 28-year old
Orlando Pirates have three league fixtures to honour in January against Supersport United at home before travelling to AmaZulu and Ajax Cape Town.
