Allegri confident of Milan turnaround

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri believes his side will recover from their lacklustre start to the Serie A season in the new year.

The Italian giants, who have won just six of their opening 15 matches, are 14 points off the pace in seventh place.

"I'm quite sure that at the end of February, Milan will be in a good position in the table," Allegri said.

Milan will face Torino away from home on Sunday before a clash with Pescara at the San Siro and a trip to Roma.

"The game against Roma will be important, as will the one against Torino and the home game against Pescara," Allegri added.

"It will be more important if we manage to go into that match being closer to Roma on the table.

"Let's focus on tomorrow's game against Torino first; it will be a very tough game.

"They play good football, they're very well organised and they don't concede much.

"We need to approach it being aware it will be very tough tomorrow."

Allegri said he would not focus any attention on the January transfer window until the end of December.

"I think it's pointless to talk about the transfer market now," he added.

"We only need to focus on the four games we have left before the Christmas break, then the club will think about the market."
