Allegri: Fiorentina clash not decisive

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri does not feel Sunday's clash with Fiorentina will be decisive in his side's push for a Champions League berth.

Milan are still unbeaten in Serie A in 2013, and have stormed up the table to sit in third place, just two behind second-placed Napoli.

Allegri's team are six points clear of fourth-placed Fiorentina in the race for the Champions League play-off spot, but the coach moved to downplay the significance of the match-up at the Stadio Artemi Franchi.

"We will have to put in a very good technical performance tomorrow against a very talented side," Allegri said.

"Fiorentina have got some very talented players and it will be tough, however we must be able to take control of the match and score at the right time as this will make a major difference to the result.

"I don't believe this will be decisive though.

"It is tough to say whether a draw would be a good result for us on Sunday.

"The most important thing for us is that we have to play our own game against Fiorentina."
