Ancelotti: Turning down Real would be hard

Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that it would be hard to turn down Real Madrid if they came calling for his services.

Current Real boss Jose Mourinho will almost certainly leave the Spanish capital at season's end, with former club and Premier League giants Chelsea his most likely destination.

Real have already started to prepare for life without Mourinho and reports circling in Europe this week suggest that Ancelotti - who is in charge at Paris Saint-Germain - is in ongoing talks with the Spanish giants.

Ancelotti has won two UEFA Champions League titles as a manager and that is sure to appeal to Real, who are craving success in Europe's premier club competition, a trophy they have not won since 2002.

When quizzed about the rumours linking him with the Real Madrid post, Ancelotti hinted that he was close to joining the club in the past and said it would be hard to say no if they wanted him to become their new manager.

He told Sky Italy: "I do not know (about Madrid)…in the past there was a team when I was close (to joining) and then I went to Chelsea.
"The future is something that nobody knows, but I'm happy at PSG and I could stay here a long time.

"Now I want to win Ligue 1 and celebrate the title. But it's hard to say no to Real Madrid, whilst I live well in Paris."
