Arjen Robben



Arjen Robben was born in Bedum, Netherlands on 23 January 1984. Although left-footed and capable of playing on the left-hand side of the pitch, Robben primarily operates as a right winger. The main features of his play include his dribbling ability, pace, creativity and goalscoring. Robben has a well-known tendency to cut inside onto his preferred foot in order to have shots on goal from long-range.

Robben played youth team football for Groningen and then made his debut for the senior team in 2000. Then, after establishing himself as a first team player, he moved to PSV Eindhoven. During his time at PSV, Robben formed a partnership with Mateja Kežman and the two were affectionately dubbed 'Batman and Robben'.
