Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to bring Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas to Anfield.
Aspas, who has been heavily linked with a move to Merseyside for several weeks, will now travel to England to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.
A fee of around nine million euros has reportedly been enough to acquire the 25-year-old's services.
After notching 25 goals in 35 games to help Celta seal promotion from the Segunda Division in 2012, Aspas carried that form into La Liga last term. He struck 12 times in 34 appearances as the Galician side scraped to top-flight survival by just a point.
Aspas, who came through the youth ranks at Estadio Balaidos, will bolster a Liverpool strikeforce already blessed with talent thanks to the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez.
