Barry charged with abusing official

Gareth Barry has been charged for verbally abusing a match official during Manchester City's derby loss to Manchester United on Sunday.
The reigning Premier League champions were beaten by a last-minute Robin van Persie free-kick after coming back from two goals down to tie the game in the second half.
Sunday's contest was largely overshadowed by the home support, who pelted United's players with coins as they celebrated the Dutchman's winner.
Rio Ferdinand was cut above the eye while another fan attempted to get onto the pitch, before being stopped by Joe Hart.
Barry has been charged by the Football Association for using abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official.
He has until 4pm on Thursday to respond to the charge.
