Defending champions Anderlecht returned to winning ways with a routine 2-0 victory over lowly Waasland-Beveren on Friday.
Anderlecht had suffered two consecutive defeats before the international break - a 3-0 loss to Malaga in the UEFA Champions league and a 2-1 loss to league rivals Standard Liege.
But John van den Brom's side bounced back courtesy of goals from Lucas Biglia and Milan Jovanovic.
Biglia, touted as a possible Arsenal signing following the Alex Song's switch to Barcelona, netted his first goal of the campaign after 36 minutes of play at the Stade Constant Vanden Stock.
And the goal scorer turned provider when he set up former Liverpool striker Jovanovic for Anderlecht's second of the game with 20 minutes remaining.
The result moves Anderlecht level at the top with league leaders Club Brugge who play OH Leuven on Saturday.
