Nancy fell deeper into relegation trouble, while a resurgent Troyes continued their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Second-half goals from Koen Weuts and Derick Ogbu guided Oud-Heverlee Leuven to a 2-1 win at Mechelen.
Seth De Witte put Mechelen in front in the 35th minute before Weuts and Ogbu led a thrilling comeback after the interval.
Meanwhile, bottom-placed Cercle slipped deeper into the relegation zone following a 2-0 loss away to Gent.
Yaya Soumahoro opened the scoring in the 53rd minute before Ilombe Mboyo doubled the advantage on the stroke of full-time.
Cercle are now nine points adrift of league safety, while Gent held on to 11th place with three wins in four games.
Elsewhere, Lierse moved three points clear of the drop zone following a 3-1 victory at Beerschot.
Goals from Arjan Swinkels, Ahmed Abou Moslem and Rachid Bourabia secured the result for Lierse, who had Thomas Wils dismissed for a second bookable offence in the dying stages.
In other matches, Shlomi Arbeitman scored the only goal in Mons' 1-0 win over Kortrijk, while Waasland-Beveren and Lokeren played out a 0-0 stalemate.
The clash between Sporting Charleroi and Zulte-Waregem was postponed due to an unplayable field.
