The result sees Zulte-Waregem move ahead of second-placed Anderlecht on goal difference with both teams level on 28 points after 14 games.
In the day's other game Standard Liege recorded an important 2-0 win over OH Leuven.
William Vainqueur scored after 14 minutes to give the home side an early advantage before Michy Batshuayi sealed the win in the 76th minute.
Liege now sit seventh on the table and are just one point behind OH Leuven who occupy the final playoff spot.
