Berahino wants Hollywood ending
By Football News
Saido Berahino has called on West Brom supporters to inspire the team to a Hollywood ending this season as they battle against relegation.
The striker revealed that he plans to film a video diary over the remainder of the season and he believes that the fans will play in a key role in making sure things go according to his preferred script.
Berahino has scored eight times in all competitions in his debut season and, as a product of the club's academy system, he wants top-flight football at The Hawthorns next season.
The 20-year-old believes Pepe Mel's side can beat the drop, citing the performance in Monday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea as proof.
"It's tight at the bottom and we know that anything can happen," Berahino told the club's official website.
"But if we can perform like we did against Chelsea every week there will be no problem.
"It was great that we got the equaliser because it wasn't a fluke, it was something that we deserved.
"Everybody put in a shift and helped us get that point that we needed.
"We're confident and we just want the fans to stay behind us and keep that faith over the next few months.
"I've been here since I was 11 so being part of keeping the club in the Premier League would be a great thing for me too."
And the Burundi-born England Under-21 international will capture all the drama of West Brom's relegation battle on his personal video camera - sending the diary clips to family back home.
"It's something I want to do from now until the end of the season for me and my family," Berahino added.
"I will put it together and send it back to people back in Africa.
"Some of my family have never had a chance to be here with me.
"It is something my Mum wants to look at.
"The camera was there and I just started to do it."
West Brom sit 17th, only above the bottom three on goal difference.
