Flamengo have upset Atletico Mineiro 2-1 to claim their second victory in a row and move up to 10th in Brazil's Serie A.
Vagner Love scored his 11th goal of the season thanks to Victor Caceres' good lead-up play to put Flamengo in front in the 21st minute and the home team held on to their 1-0 lead until the break.
Love has moved to equal second in the league goal-scoring charts, just one goal behind Fluminense's Fred.
Just five minutes into the second half, Jo equalised for Atletico Mineiro to tie the scores at 1-1.
Flamengo recovered quickly, however, and were in front again in the 56th minute when Liedson scored with Wellington Silva grabbing the assist.
Wednesday's victory has put Flamengo into 10th with 34 points, just one behind ninth-placed Cruzeiro, while Mineiro remain four points behind Serie A-leaders Fluminense.
