Championship wrap: Blackburn edge goal fest, move top
Ewood Park was the place to be as Blackburn scored twice in second-half injury time through Scott Dann and Jordan Rhodes to secure a dramatic win versus Bighton and climb above Blackpool on the Championship table.
In a thrilling match, Bristol took the lead in the first minute thanks to a goal from Albert Adomah before Rhodes struck in the 28th minute to make it 1-1 at the break.
Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes put Blackburn ahead 10 minutes into the second half but Bristol hit back in the 69th minute when Stephen Pearson scored.
The visitors pulled away again when Ruben Rochina scored in the 81st minute but two minutes later Bristol looked to have salvaged a draw thanks to Sam Baldock's goal.
But Blackburn stole the points in injury time when Dann scored in the 93rd minute and Rhodes added another goal in the 96th to claim a two-goal victory.
Blackburn moved into top spot with 11 points just ahead of Blackpool, Brighton, Hull and Cardiff, who are all on 10.
In a high-scoring day of Championship action, Burnley thumped Peterborough 5-2, Hull clobbered Millwall 4-1 and Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 with Birmingham.
Blackpool could only manage a 1-1 draw with Barnsley, which cost Ian Holloway's side the overall lead in the Championship.
Craig Davies scored the opening goal of the game for Barnsley and while Blackpool equalised through Tom Ince before the break, they could not find a winning goal against the 12th-placed side in the Championship.
In other results, Cardiff knocked off Leeds United 2-1, Huddersfield defeated Derby 1-0, Middlesbrough won 2-0 over Ipswich and Bolton overcame Watford 2-1.
