Chelsea and Galatasaray table Bruma bids
Jul 11, 2013 10:52 PM GMT
Bruma's agent has confirmed that both Chelsea and Galatasaray have tabled bids worth an initial €8million for the Sporting Lisbon attacker.
Newspaper speculation has repeatedly linked the 18-year-old with a move away from the Primeira Liga side for the past few weeks.
Catio Balde, his representative, has now revealed that Chelsea and Galatasaray have firmed up their interest in Bruma, who spoke earlier this month about how he would hold discussions over his future following his involvement in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.
Bruma was part of the Portugal team that topped their group before exiting at the hands of Ghana in the last 16, and scored five goals in his four appearances at the tournament.
This haul means he is currently joint-top scorer with Spain’s Jese and Ghana’s Ebenezer Assifuah with two games of the competition remaining - the sort of form that has alerted the likes of Chelsea and Galatasaray.
Balde told Antena 1: "I was in charge or presenting offers to Sporting.
"There are offers from foreign clubs, from Chelsea and from Galatasaray, worth €8million that could reach €12million.
"From this moment on, considering that he is a highly-coveted player, it is possible that more offers will arrive, because I know that several clubs were waiting for the best moment to make a move.
