CSL Wrap: Guangzhou go top, Beijing win
Guangzhou Evergrande moved to the top of the Chinese Super League with a 3-0 thrashing of Tianjin Teda on Sunday.
Marcello Lippi's side have now won six of their seven matches, with the other being a draw, and they still have a game in hand on the majority of the competition.
Their latest win came in front of their home fans at the Tianhe Stadium and was largely down to the influence of two Brazilians.
Dario Conca gave Guangzhou the lead after 17 minutes and it was an advantage that was doubled 14 minutes after half-time by Elkeson.
Gao Lin got the third goal shortly after which killed off the match as a contest as Tianjin Teda - who sit bottom of the table - saw their poor form continue.
Beijing Guoan also won at home and kept a clean sheet, defeating Changchun Yatai 2-0.
Former Sevilla and Tottenham striker Frederic Kanoute scored the game's opener on 19 minutes.
And Zhang Xizhe made sure of the win with a 66th-minute penalty, as Beijing moved up to fourth.
Liaoning Whowin also won with a 2-1 victory at Shanghai SIPG, with Edu netting a double for the victors.
Zhengrong Zhu scored for Shanghai SIPG, who were defeated at home for the first time this season.
Guizhou Renhe also triumphed on Sunday, a result that extended their unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions.
They beat Dalian Aerbin 2-1, despite conceding after just three minutes when Yu Dabao netted.
Bosnian forward Zlatan Muslimovic responded six minutes later before Qu Bo got the winner for Guizhou.
