Leaders Guangzhou Evergrande pegged back Jiangsu Sainty to a 1-1 draw in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.

The draw preserved Evergrande's three-point gap over Jiangsu (52 points) with third-placed Beijing Guoan a further eight points back even with their 2-0 win over Qingdao Jonoon.

Ji Xiang opened the scoring for Jiangsu in the first minute and Jiang Ning replied for the league leaders four minutes after half-time.

Beijing scored twice in the opening half-hour to see off Qingdao Jonoon and take a three-point lead over Guizhou Renhe for the third Asian Champions League place.

Anselmo scored a double in Shanghai Shenxin's surprise 4-1 win over Dalian Shide that inched them closer to safety.

Shanghai remain in the relegation zone but are now two points adrift of Dalian Shide, who could ill-afford to lose.

Guizhou Renhe drew 1-1 at Hangzhou as did Liaoning Whowin at Shandong Luneng and Henan Jianye at Tianjin Teda.

Lieu Weidong was on target twice for Changchun Yatai in their 3-1 win over Shanghai Shenhua.
