De Jong enjoying life in Germany
05 Oct, 2012 3:08 PM GMT
Luuk de Jong says he does not regret leaving Twente for Borussia Moenchengladbach in the recent transfer window.
The Netherlands international has been struggling to find his best form since his move, while Lucien Favre's side have disappointed in the opening weeks of the 2012/13 campaign.
Nevertheless, De Jong is determined to succeed at Moenchengladbach, and will do his utmost to make an impact.
"Things are not yet going as I was hoping them to go. All I can do is keep on working hard and give my all in every game. I definitely do not regret joining Gladbach," he told Goal.com.
"It's amazing to play in the Bundesliga every week. I can learn a lot here."
De Jong netted his second goal of the season on Thursday as Gladbach were beaten 4-2 by Fenerbahce in the Europa League, and the Dutchman feels he will score more often if provided with better service from out wide.
"We all know what kind of striker I am. I'd like to get more crosses from the wings. That's where my qualities lie," de Jong said.
"We lacked variety against Fener. We attacked through the middle a lot. It would be good to sit down with each other and discuss how we can improve."
The 22-year-old will be looking to add to his tally on Sunday when Moenchengladbach take on Eintracht Frankfurt.
