Shaun Miller has scored two late goals to send Sheffield United through to the third round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Port Vale.

League One's Sheffield United trailed Port Vale for almost 60 minutes after Tom Pope gave the League Two outfit the lead in the first half on Saturday.

But with elimination looming, Miller struck for the home side, scoring in the 90th and 94th minutes to pull off a last-ditch comeback.

Coventry City joined Sheffield United in the FA Cup third round after a 2-1 triumph over Morecambe, while Oldham Athletic defeated Doncaster Rovers 3-1.

Gary McSheffrey gave Coventry the lead in the 37th minute when he slotted home a penalty and Carl Baker doubled the home side's margin just after half-time.

While Kevin Ellison made it 2-1 in the 77th minute, Morecambe could not manage another goal and Coventry held on to advance.

In Oldham, Doncaster hit the front early when Robbie Blake struck in the fourth minute but the home side went in level at the break thanks to Reece Wabara's goal in first-half injury time.

Matt Derbyshire scored twice in six second-half minutes to wrap up Oldham's victory.

Aldershot Town triumphed 3-2 away to Fleetwood Town to progress, while Preston North End won 2-0 over Gillingham and Crawley Town cruised past Conference side Chelmsford City 3-0.

Lincoln City and Mansfield Town will have to play a second-round replay after a 3-3 draw, as will Accrington Stanley and Oxford United after their tie finished with the same score.

Other ties that will have to be replayed are Harrogate Town versus Hastings United, Bury versus Southend United and Rotherham United versus Notts County after they all finished 1-1.

In a busy day of FA Cup action, AFC Bournemouth, Burton Albion, Luton Town and Tranmere Rovers were the other sides to advance.
