Franck Ribéry



Franck Henry Pierre Ribéry was born in Boulogne-sur-Mer on 7 April 1983. Known for his superb close control, dribbling ability, pace, creativity and flair, he is considered one of the best French players of his generation and a hugely important player for both club and country. Although a right-footed winger, he is most comfortable playing on the left flank, from which he is able to cut inside and offer a more direct goal threat.

Having started his career at Boulogne in 2000, Ribéry moved clubs several times over the next few years, playing for Alès, Brest, Metz and Galatasaray.
