Garde confident Lyon can bounce back

Lyon have slipped slightly after drawing against bottom club Nancy and losing to title challengers Paris Saint-Germain in their past two league games.

But they still remain firmly in the hunt and a win will see them draw level with PSG on 38 points.

"We are 150 percent focused on the next game against Nice," Garde said.

"We have already forgotten the game against PSG. I said, after the game, that we were frustrated but not only that.

"We have to keep the good things we've done so far, what we've done well and cause problems to our opponents.

"It will be a great satisfaction, not a complete joy but we will get the three points and there will be a satisfaction with what we've done so far this season.

"If we stay at the top of our game then we can do it, but we do not have the margin of Paris Saint-Germain for example.

"But against them or in our other game we were able to show that we have possibilities."

Garde admitted the prospect of a Europa League round-of-32 tie with Tottenham, and former goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, is a daunting one.

"It is not going to be easy - I think we didn't get the best draw possible," Garde said.

"As I like to say the draw is one thing, the games are another one.

"Obviously we have to play Tottenham and it makes all of us thinking about Hugo. It is destiny. It is like that. It is going to be very moving for him here. I hope he is not going to want to play a great game, but I am afraid he will be able to."
