Lyon's Yoann Gourcuff is confident in his team's recent form as they prepare to face Real Sociedad in the UEFA Champions League play-off.
The Ligue 1 side face Sociedad, a team they last met in the Champions League almost a decade ago, in the first contest of the two-legged tie at the Stade de Gerland on Tuesday.
Gourcuff, who is linked with English Premier League side Arsenal, made it clear he was focused on the task at hand.
"I'm happy to be on the pitch and I'm striving to do what the coach and this (left-midfield) position require," Gourcuff said.
"We've scored seven goals over the last two games and that means we were efficient.
"We could try to improve the group's technique but we're satisfied with the last chances and goals."
Head coach Remi Garde played down the importance of qualifying for the Champions League, saying that the club were just happy to be participating in continental competition.
"Even if the Europa League isn't quite the Champions League and even if we are aiming for the Champions League – today we're not running after the money," Garde said.
"The Europa League is also a great competition to play and these thoughts have played a big part in the players' mind during the first games.
"We're absolutely focused to reach that goal (of Champions League qualification)."
