Ibrahimovic delighted with Champions League start

PSG were making their first appearance in the Uefa Champions League since December 2004, and immediately asserted their authority with a fantastic first-half performance that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic score from the spot, Thiago Silva notch a debut goal and Alex make it 3-0 before the break.
Despite Miguel Veloso scoring a consolation goal for the Ukrainian visitors, Javier Pastore restored his side's three-goal advantage, firing PSG to the top of Group A.
"We won the game 4-1 and it was a good start in the Champions League and good for the team," Ibrahimovic said.
"We must bring this victory to the next game and the confidence too. The team is starting to play much better and finding each position better and the players are feeling more comfortable in their play. It was a first game, it was hard, we won but we must continue to work hard.
"This is a good signal for the future. If we won, it's because we played well. This gives us confidence for the next game against Porto, which is a quality team. This is a wonderful start."
His team-mate, Christophe Jallet picked up on the fact that the lavishly assembled side have finally been able to gel, while insisting that their next match in the group will be more difficult.
"We managed to have the edge, in both attack and in defence. Our hard work paid off with a great win," the right-back told UEFA.com.
"We managed to raise the bar to Champions League level tonight. Now our trip to Porto will be another stiff test."
Meanwhile, PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti has also told of his pleasure at the performance.
"I'm very happy. We prepared well this game. The first half was very good in terms of quality. It really was a great performance," he said.
