Incheon United have defeated Daejon Citizen 1-0 to claim their third victory in a row in the K-League's relegation round.

Nam Jun-Jae scored the only goal of Sunday's game in the 35th minute as Incheon United remain well clear of the other bottom-eight clubs in the K-League.

Incheon United are on 62 points with Daegu in second position on 54.

But with Sangju Sangmu already confirmed as the club that will be relegated at the end of the 2012 season, neither fourth-placed Daejon Citizen nor any of the other clubs need to be worried about their results for the rest of the campaign.

Sangju Sangmu have been relegated to ensure the K-League is brought into line with Asian Football Confederation guidelines that requires all clubs to have professional contracts with their players.

As the club that represents Korean professional footballers completing their mandatory military training, Sangju Sangmu does not have contracts with its players so they can return to their previous K-League clubs at the end of their two years.

While Sangju Sangmu were 12 points adrift at the bottom of the relegation round's standings before the K-League's decision, the military club have boycotted the rest of their fixtures in protest at being relegated ahead of the end of the season.

Chunnam Dragons were meant to play Sangju Sangmu on Sunday before the match was cancelled due to the boycott.
