Lazio striker Miroslav Klose is in doubt for his side's clash against Juventus on Saturday, coach Vladimir Petkovic has revealed.
Suffering from a cold, the experienced Germany international had already missed his country's 0-0 draw against the Netherlands.
According to Petkovic, it looks as though Klose will not have fully recovered in time for the clash against the title holders at Juventus Stadium.
"We have to be cautious with Klose. He's not very well at all," Petkovic told reporters.
"He's got a cough and, although he has trained, he's not in top shape."
Despite the likely absence of the star striker, Petkovic is confident of causing an upset on Saturday, having beaten Roma last time out.
"Juventus are favourites for the Scudetto, but we have the ability to win in Turin," he said.
"In order to do so, we will have to play like we did against Roma, but then add another 20 to 30 percent.
"That's the only way to beat them in their stadium."
Defending set-pieces continues to be an area of concern for Lazio, and Petkovic said improving on that aspect could help end their four-game losing streak against Juve.
"We are struggling to defend set-pieces," he said.
"We have to improve our concentration and individuals need to take more responsibility."
