Real Sociedad defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-1 away from home in La Liga on Friday to move within two points of the Champions League places.
Hosts Athletic took the lead courtesy of a goal from Ibai in the 30th minute of the match at Estadio San Mames.
Sociedad were back on level terms just four minutes later, Antoine Griezmann finding the back of the net with the help of an assist from Gonzalo Castro Irizabal.
Imanol Agirretxe sent the visitors in front for the first time in the match when he scored in the 67th minute.
And former Arsenal man Carlos Vela sealed Basque bragging rights for Sociedad when he made it 3-1 with 14 minutes remaining.
Sociedad are now fifth in the Liga standings, two points behind fourth-placed Malaga, although they will drop back to sixth spot if Valencia defeat Real Zaragoza on Saturday.
Athletic meanwhile sit 14th, only six points clear of the drop zone and without a win in their last four Liga fixtures.
