Laudrup: De Guzman wants Swansea stay
By Football News
Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says Jonathan de Guzman wants to stay at the Liberty Stadium on a permanent deal.
The 25-year-old is on loan from Villarreal until the end of the season, but reports have suggested the League Cup winners are already holding talks with the Spanish club over a transfer.
Laudrup has previously said he would like to retain the Dutchman beyond the end of the campaign and has claimed the midfielder is happy to remain in the Premier League.
"It's always difficult to say what's going to happen," he said.
"A lot of clubs are thinking about the end of the season; promotion, relegation etc, so they have a lot of important things to think about.
"Jonathan is playing very well and he's scoring goals. But he is happy here and I know he wants to stay here."
