Jaguares were held to a 1-1 home draw in their Liga MX clash with Morelia on Friday.
The visitors at Estadio Zoque VMR fired the first shot in the Mexican league clash, with Ecuadorian striker Joao Rojas putting them ahead on 11 minutes.
Morelia were looking to snap a run of four consecutive draws in all competitions, but those hopes were dashed when they conceded a penalty just prior to half-time - and Colombian marksman Luis Rey duly converted the opportunity.
The visiting side were then handed an opportunity to again take the lead, when Jaguares midfielder Jose Toledo was dismissed in the 80th minute.
But Morelia could not produce the goods with their numerical advantage, although it extended their unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions.
The point lifted Morelia to ninth in the table on 14 points, while Jaguares moved to 15th spot on seven points.
