Rio Ave extended their winning streak to four games after they beat Moreirense 1-0 in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Joao Tomas scored his third goal of the season after 57 minutes to hand his side all three points. Rio Ave now move to fourth spot on table, six points adrift of league leaders FC Porto.

Sporting Portugal's poor season continued after they were beaten 2-1 by Vitoria Setubal away from home.

Pedro Santos put Vitoria ahead in the 27th minute before Jeffren restored parity on the stroke of half-time.

Cameroonian striker Albert Meyong put the home side back in front after 68 minutes and they were able to hold for the win.

Estoril struck twice in the last 10 minutes as they beat Academica 2-0 at the Estadio Coimbra.

Defender Bruno Nascimento put the away side ahead in the 84th minute before Lica sealed the win in injury time.

In other results, struggling Beira-Mar were too good for fellow cellar-dwellers Nacional in their 4-2 away win while Pacos de Ferreira and Olhanense played out a 0-0 draw.
