Ligue 1: Toulouse 0 PSG 4
Feb 02, 2013 1:55 AM GMT
Paris Saint-Germain have smashed Toulouse 4-0 to take three points back to the French capital and move clear at the top of Ligue 1.
Javier Pastore, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mamadou Sakho and Gregory van der Wiel all got on the scoresheet for PSG, while Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura provided two quality assists for the Parisians in just his fourth game for the club.
PSG put their noses in front in just the fourth minute when Ezequiel Lavezzi chipped a cross to the back post and Pastore thumped his volley into the turf and over Toulouse goalkeeper Ali Ahamada for the opening goal at Stadium Municipal.
It was 2-0 by half-time as Moura had enough time and space in the 36th minute to curl a fine cross onto Ibrahimovic's head with the Swedish striker easily slipping away from his opponent to nod the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
Moura's second assist came in the 70th minute after Lavezzi cleverly kept the ball in play with a back-heel on the right wing before the 20-year-old Brazilian picked out Sakho at the back post, who powered his header into the net.
That cross made it three assists in four games for Moura since he completed his move to PSG from Sao Paulo, while the capital club completed the rout in the 73rd minute when Ibrahimovic showed his tricky side to get past both Steeve Yago and Pavle Ninkov before cutting the ball back for van der Wiel to finish.
Friday's win has taken PSG to 48 points, three clear of Lyon on top of Ligue 1 with the Parisians' triumph in Toulouse their fourth victory in a row in all competitions.
