University of Pretoria coach Steve Barker says he was disappointed to concede late in the match.
Steve Barker’s men were beaten by Moroka Swallows 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Dobsenville stadium. Lerato Chabangu’s 89th minute superb strike made sure the visiting side went home empty handed.
The coach said after the match “We are disappointed to concede late as we did, but we have to accept the situation and move on.
“It was a typical first match of the season and the first fifteen minutes Swallows were far better than us. The game settled after twenty-minutes till half-time.” Added Barker
Steve Barker, who stole four points from Moroka Swallows last season after beating them away and drawing in the second round fixture said no team looked like scoring in the first-half, but the second half was different.
“No team looked like scoring, and second-half we came out different as we opened up little bit. We created a couple of good chances and I believe luck wasn’t on our side.
“In the last ten minutes of the match we were a little bit under pressure, but I believe we did enough to earn a point from this match but it wasn’t to be. We will bounce back from this loss.” Concluded the 45-year old coach
